This means selecting environmentally friendly products and materials when possible, making sure your home is well designed for heating, cooling and ventilation, and keeping the long-term energy requirements in check.

With a long history of building homes bordering on and sometimes within environmentaly sensitve ares such as the Niagara Escarpment, Ricciuto begins every project by first Evaluating the site. We Inventory and evaluate the resources on the lot before building. We ensure the Location of structures should be based, in large part, on the lot's natural features. We Identify trees that we want to save and vegetation that will remain during construction and identify areas where we want to limit construction traffic. Wherever possible, we preserve existing vegetation to help control erosion and off-site sedimentation.
